The bank offers standard services such as deposits, investments, and loans. Commercial loans -- primarily mortgages -- account for about half of the company's loan portfolio; residential mortgages comprise another third. First Place Bank also operates insurance and title insurance agencies and a real estate brokerage. It is a subsidiary of Michigan's Talmer Bancorp.
